TASTING NOTES

This Extra Brut is a dry, racy sparkling crafted from Chenin Blanc. It's a classic style, with oxidative notes and a tart edge carried on the back of a vigourous bead. Green apple, creamed honey, citrus, minerals and salted caramel, with charming floral caresses. The chalky texture is divine. Ticks every box, this one.

Mathieu Cosme has been in charge of some of the most beautiful hectares in Vouvray since he took over from his father in 2005. Le Facteur (French for Postman) wines are crafted with a passionately natural approach – vineyards are plowed by horse, no herbicides or pesticides are ever used, harvest is by hand and ferments are wild.

INSTRUCTION

For hot drinks:

Start with a clean thermos.
Warm your thermos by filling it with boiling water. Put the lid on. Let it sit for a few minutes then pour out the water.
Once your thermos is warm, quickly add boiling hot drinks and put the lid on tightly.

For cold drinks:

Start with a clean thermos.
Chill your thermos in the fridge or freezer.
You can also fill the thermos with ice and water. Put the lid on. Let it sit for a few minutes to cool then pour out the water.
Once the thermos is chilled, quickly add cold drink (at or below 4°C or 40°F) and put the lid on tightly.
