Yamazakura ("mountain cherry blossom") is a blended Japanese whisky from Sasanokawa Shuzo's Asaka Distillery in Fukushima, a house with sake and shochu heritage dating to 1765. The blend marries four malt whiskies with one grain whisky, bottled at 40% ABV in a 500ml format. An approachable, easy-drinking introduction to Japanese whisky.

Tasting notes

Orange blossom on the nose; oak, caramel and fresh orchard fruit on the palate, with vanilla, spice and a hint of dark chocolate. Mild, smooth and easy-drinking.
