A Japanese single malt from the Eigashima (White Oak) Distillery in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture, west of Kobe. This no-age-statement bottling marries malts matured in Spanish sherry/cherry oak, American oak and bourbon casks for a rich, malty character. Bottled at 46% and non-chill-filtered in a 500ml bottle.

Tasting notes

Rich caramel colour; nose of sweet light iodine, clove, herbs and dry oak; rich, full-bodied malt palate with spice, gentle peat, yellow apple and cocoa; medium finish of oak, vanilla and wood spice.

How to use

Serve neat, with a splash of water, over a large ice cube, or in a whisky highball.

Pairs with
