Saint Albray is a French semi-soft, washed-rind cow's-milk cheese first made in 1976, instantly recognisable by its flower-shaped wheel and orange-pink rind. From the Aquitaine region near the Pyrenees, it is supple and creamy with a mild, gently buttery flavour. Aged a couple of weeks with brine washing to develop its rind and aroma.

Tasting notes

Creamy, smooth and supple; mild, slightly sweet and buttery with subtle mushroom and nut notes.

How to use

Serve at room temperature on a cheese board with bread, crackers and fruit; remove from the fridge about 30 minutes before serving.
