Méry Melrose is a small organic grower-producer in Salles-d'Angles, in the prized Grande Champagne cru of Cognac. This VSOP is certified organic and aged a minimum of around 4.5 years in French oak, bottled at 40% ABV. The bottle wears a distinctive Lascaux cave-painting label.

Tasting notes

Burnished gold; nose of cinnamon, vanilla, honey, dried apricot, fig and gingerbread; silky palate of warm spice and tropical fruit with brown sugar, leading to a long, gently sweet fruity finish.

How to use

Serve neat at room temperature in a tulip glass as an after-dinner sipper.

Pairs with

Foie gras, duck or pigeon; also enjoyed neat as a digestif.
