M&J BECKER WINES - MANCHESTER VINEYARD PINOT NOIR 2021
TASTING NOTES
Delicious elegant palate with red berries, blackberries and soft oakiness add complexity to the earthy character of cool climate Californian Pinot. A lovely long length stays on the palate allowing enjoyment to last. Gentle acidity is reassuring to cellaring potential and it’s food compatibility - great Pinot.
Made from two clones and fermented with a portion of wholecluster, this Pinot was pressed to neutral barriques and matured for 12 months. Manchester Ridge Vineyard is perched at 2500 ft. elevation, and only 3 miles from the coast. The growing season is moderated by the cool maritime breezes which allows the fruit a long hang time for flavor development and ripeness. This Pinot captures the vibrancy of this ridge top vineyard.

ABOUT
"I try to create wines that truly reflect the unique character of our chosen vineyards – wines that complement our sustainable vineyard practices with little manipulation in the cellar." – JAMES BECKER
M&J Becker Wines was realised to focus on our passion for the region and its ability to produce dry – grown and environmentally sustainable wine. Recently a new home was established on our holistic philosophy to winemaking which starts with climate, empahasises the importance on the vineyard, as well as wine’s relation to the food we love to grow, cook, and eat.
