A Japanese craft gin from Komasa Jyozo, a 130-year-old shochu distillery in Kagoshima. Built on a rice-shochu base, it is distilled with juniper and generous amounts of Sakurajima komikan, a tiny local mandarin grown in volcanic soil, plus coriander seed. The result is a bright, gentle, citrus-forward gin with mellow sweet-mandarin fragrance.
