Chateau Pontoise Cabarrus is a 28-hectare Cru Bourgeois Superieur estate at Saint-Seurin-de-Cadourne in the northern Haut-Medoc, made from old vines on gravelly Gironde-side soils. The 2017 is a classic Left Bank blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, aged with around 33% new oak for a dense, structured, ageworthy red. It won Double Gold at the Sakura Awards.
