TASTING NOTES

The Rosè Condimento is obtained from selected grape must. At La Vecchia Dispensa they use high quality red wine vinegar from Modena Grasparossa grapes to create a perfect sweet & sour marriage. It is not aged in wood, only stainless steel so that the product is not oxidized during the ageing process. It has a very low acidity that enhances the flavour of the must on the palate.

It has a density of 1.21kg/litre and Acidity of 4.5%

 

PAIRING Salad dressing, seafood, cooked or grilled vegetables (in place of lemon)

 

ABOUT

Four generations ago, the Pelloni-Tintori family started ageing Balsamic Vinegar in precious wooden casks inside the attic of their house in Modena, Italy.

One of the first Acetaia to sell to the public, La Vecchia Dispensa takes great care with all aspects of their product, right down to the tiniest detail, starting with the selection of raw materials right through to the handmade packaging of the finished product.

Each product produced can tell a story about the family behind it. For this reason, La Vecchia Dispensa choose only the best organic grapes and avoid the use of colouring, caramel and sugar. The result is a 100% natural product that respects the recipes that have been passed down through the generations.

INSTRUCTION

For hot drinks:

  • Start with a clean thermos. 
  •  Warm your thermos by filling it with boiling water. Put the lid on. Let it sit for a few minutes then pour out the water.
  • Once your thermos is warm, quickly add boiling hot drinks and put the lid on tightly.

For cold drinks: 

  • Start with a clean thermos. 
  • Chill your thermos in the fridge or freezer. 
  • You can also fill the thermos with ice and water. Put the lid on. Let it sit for a few minutes to cool then pour out the water. 
  • Once the thermos is chilled, quickly add cold drink (at or below 4°C or 40°F) and put the lid on tightly.
