FRANCK BONVILLE - BRUT BLANC DE BLANCS GRAND CRU CHAMPAGNE 2016-2017
TASTING NOTES
A brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru harvested from the well-known Côte des Blancs. With a beautiful yellow colour, the fine bubbles push through so that a generous and expressive scent of vanilla that progressively turns into brioche aromas, appeals to the nose. The palate has a creamy mouse elegancy with a fruity side to the mouth. A hint of mint reminds us of the typical freshness of the Chardonnay.

ABOUT
Four generations of winegrowers have specialised in Blanc de Blancs champagne from the Grand Cru terroir of Avize, a terroir of the Côte des Blancs. Champagne is made up of various regions planted with the Meunier grape and others with Pinot Noir. The Franck Bonville estate is located in an area dominated by Chardonnay, the only white grape variety in Champagne. It covers 2,500 hectares and is characterised by chalky soils. Thus the name La Côte des Blancs is “The White Hillsides”.
They aim for the freshness and finesse from the chalky soils to come through in the wines. “Our greatest satisfaction is to offer you, thanks to the careful work done in the vineyards, the aromatic complexity and elegance of Chardonnay.”
