Lobby After Dark: the night we poured for a sold-out room

Some of our favourite nights aren’t in the shop at all.

This Valentine’s, we teamed up with the crew at Lobby Currumbin for Lobby After Dark — a five-course degustation at The Warehouses, served around one long communal table, after the sun went down. Kingfish crudo. Butter pan-seared gnocchi with cheese grated over the top. A signature wagyu cube roll. And with every course, a wine chosen to make it sing.

That’s the part we love most: the pairing. Matching a glass to a plate isn’t about rules — it’s about finding the wine that makes the food taste more like itself. Something crisp and mineral to lift the crudo; something with a little more weight and warmth by the time the wagyu lands. When it clicks, the whole table feels it.

Every single ticket sold out. Watching a room full of strangers turn into a room full of friends over five courses — that was the dream, and you made it real.
