ABOUT

The Corte San Mattia farm, on the outskirts of Verona, started in 1920, today it is run by the same family, siblings Camilla and Giovanni. The farm produces olive oil, vegetables and honey.

The vines produce typical wines of Verona, Valpolicella, Valpolicella Superiore, Ripasso, Amarone and Recioto, white wines and a sparkling wine.

No synthetic chemicals are used, with both wines and oil obtaining organic certification. All wines are created from spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts. Low levels of sulphites are added and the wines aren’t filtered. The grapes are picked by hand and the wine is left in the bottle for a year before leaving the cellar. Time in the bottle allows it to develop particular perfumes in this period.

“All we do in the cellar is to preserve the quality and authenticity of the product from the field to the bottle.”
