DRIFTER WINE CO - MATARO GRENACHE 2021
TASTING NOTES
Although it's light, it has a story to tell. Extremely easy to drink, this Mataro Grenache red will have you reaching for the bottle..
Half fermented as whole bunch, with 8 days of carbonic maceration, wild ferment, no additions. Foot stomped on day 8 to release the partially fermented juice from within the berries. Hand plunged twice a day. Fermented in clay amphora. The other half was hand destemmed, foot crushed and fermented in a separate amphora. Pressed separately into old French oak barriques for a brief few months.

ABOUT
Natural wines made with minimal intervention.
Utilizing lo-fi techniques to highlight varietal character. Picked early. Kept vibrant. Uncomplicated. Hand made, foot stomped. Maybe even a little experimentation– sometimes– where it’s needed. Wines made for adventure.
