SUNNY WINES - DAWN RED 2021
TASTING NOTES
Sunny is another project from the Das Juice label, using small parcels of fruit that didn't fit the Das Juice range, and creating fun wines. This wine is medium bodied with a wonderful lift and orange wine like tannin. A pretty fun take on McLaren Shiraz.
60% Shiraz from the recently converted organic vineyards in McLaren Vale and 40% Pinot Gris. The Gris spent two weeks on skins before the shiraz whole bunches were thrown in the ferment and sealed up and gassed for 6 days.

ABOUT
We are delighted to release our newest winemaking project Sunny. Sunny Wines was born out of our desire to continue to support our Das Juice growers by taking some small parcels of excess fruit and alternative varieties starting from the bountiful 2021 South Australian harvest. As with Das Juice the ideas of organic viticulture, minimal intervention in the cellar and experimentation were at the forefront and with that we are delighted to introduce you to our first release. Sunny is likely to be a series of one off wines, adapting as growers approach us with small parcels outside of our normal growing agreements, with Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Prosecco filling the 2022 release next year.
