MAS DES BRESSADES - CUVÉE TRADITION BLANC 2020
Pale yellow with golden reflections, this wine has a very limpid color. It has an intense nose of white peach and almonds flowers and a great complexity in the mouth. Grenache blanc brings minerality, viognier aromas of apricot and peach and Marsanne remains more floral. A fresh attack characteristic of Roussanne supports this aromatic complexity by bringing citrus notes and a mineral touch. Very pleasant.
After a skin maceration, fermentation is carried out at 18°C in stainless steel tank.
No malolactic fermentation.

Founded by Roger Marès in the 1960s, the Mas des Bressades is located in the Costières de Nîmes, in the south of the Rhône valley. It extends across 45 hectares to the north of the Camargue, where the vines are planted at an altitude of 70 meters, on pebbles rolled by the Rhône. Bressades comes from the Provençal patois and means to rock, because we are very often rocked there, even stirred by the Mistral. While the estate had long been cultivated with respect for nature and the soil, in 2017 Cyril Marès requested certification in organic farming. After three years of conversion, it is now official.
Cyril has always lived among the vines and orchards of his father Roger Marès. After studying agronomy and viticulture and oenology in Montpellier, he went to vinify on other continents before taking over the estate. First in the USA at Chalone Vineyard in 1994, then in Chile at Bruno Prats owner of Château Cos d'Estournelle and at Paul Pontallier, manager of Château Margaux. These two harvests were the occasion for a trip around the world rich in adventures, encounters and discoveries. Cyril returned to the Costières de Nîmes at the Mas des Bressades in 1996.
Returned by passion for wine and for the terroir of the Mas des Bressades, his objective is to preserve as much as possible the qualitative potential of the terroir with the greatest respect for the vine and the soil. “In each wine, I look for harmony between the different origins and components of the wine so that everyone feels the pleasure I had in drinking it.
