FUMEY CHATELAIN - ARBOIS SAVAGNIN 2017
TASTING NOTES
A powerful wine with vivid characters of ripe nectarine, lemon, and complex characters of curry leaves, cashews, and fresh turmeric. The palate is rich yet finely contoured by a smooth acid line suggesting great maturity and thoughtful winemaking. Exactly what you would expect from a classic, white Jura - nutty and savoury.

ABOUT
The fruit grows on marl and limestone soils. It is hand harvested and macerated for 15 days. 70% is free run juice and 30% is extracted from pressings. The result is light and juicy with an interesting smoky minerality, texture and tight structure.
Red Jura wines offer lightness and drinkability. The diverse patchwork of terroirs and topography allows Marin to produce flavoursome reds like the Arbois Pinot Noir, especially from sites where the soils can be richer, and the prime site of Les Grands Champs in Montigny-les-Arsures. A glass or two go a long way with chicken liver parfait and pickled vegetables.
