FUMEY CHATELAIN - ARBOIS PINOT NOIR 2019
TASTING NOTES
Light framed with super fine, taunting tannins pocking the bright red berry and strawberry fruit characters to the front of the palate. The mid palate is slightly broodier with blackberry and dark cherry notes mingling with earthy, woody, and green herb characters adding interest and length to the finish.

ABOUT
The fruit grows on marl and limestone soils. It is hand harvested and macerated for 15 days. 70% is free run juice and 30% is extracted from pressings. The result is light and juicy with an interesting smoky minerality, texture and tight structure.
Red Jura wines offer lightness and drinkability. The diverse patchwork of terroirs and topography allows Marin to produce flavoursome reds like the Arbois Pinot Noir, especially from sites where the soils can be richer, and the prime site of Les Grands Champs in Montigny-les-Arsures. A glass or two go a long way with chicken liver parfait and pickled vegetables.
